Poor service, would give zero stars if possible. Overcharged by an hr (I have receipts to show arrival and completion of service) and then also caused damage to existing furniture that they refuse to own up or compensate for.

Complaint took multiple phone calls and emails before it was even acknowledged and then two weeks before any form of “resolution” (not resolved as there has been no refund of service for damages caused or the messing around).

Do not use this company as I can guarantee they are not worth the headache they cause when they mess up your service.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $312

I had the pleasure of using CBD Packers & Movers for my recent house move, and I couldn't be happier with their service. From the initial consultation to the final delivery, they demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and a commitment to customer satisfaction that was truly exceptional.

The team arrived on time, well-prepared with all the necessary packing materials and equipment. They took great care in wrapping and securing my belongings, ensuring nothing was damaged during the move. Their attention to detail and meticulous handling of fragile items put my mind at ease.

Upon reaching the new location, they efficiently unloaded and placed everything in its designated spot. Not a single item was lost or damaged. I was impressed with their speed and precision.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $240

That was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Even called 2 of my friends to help meet them at our new property to unload so they didn't mess around even longer. I require all communication to be done via email now as I will be taking this further if pressed for payment without rectification first and foremost.

3 men showing instead of two, as stated in quote and confirmation, 5.15pm arrival, refusal to move without things being removed and unpacked from drawers, 7.10pm arrival at new house, damage to our newly built house wall. 7.34pm finished unloading, and then spending 11mins arguing about being paid then and there via mobile eftpos before leaving the property, which my support person said no until my repayment has been made and situations rectified. I will be sending an invoice for repair on the damage tomorrow after i have finished moving the rest of our belongings from the old property. As well as the mess about this morning due to payment that they required, that was not clarified to me for previously canceled packaging, therefore making our moving day the worst experience I've had.

I will be keeping up my reviews until I receive an email back with my options.

I am unable to attach the video of what was left at the property at 5pm before they arrived, that they were meant to move, but if I search centaine Jennifer on Facebook, you can see the public post.

As stated above, all communication to be done via email from here onward as I require a Pape trail for legal counsel if not fixed immediately!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $368

I used their services 4 years ago and it was ok. But now, not so much. Here's a few issues:

1. The movers were rushing the job and kept asking if that is everything. Every time we gave him an item, he will ask is that everything. Don't rush us man, moving is a very stressful time already!

2. Because they were in a rush, a few heavy items were left at the property!

3. They didn't even bring any of the beds upstairs in the bedroom and left everything in the lounge. I had to ask them to move the fridge and freezer to the kitchen but everything else was left in the lounge.

4. The guy asked me very rudely how I'll pay. I said EFTPOS because that was the agreement over the phone. He said I didn't bring the EFTPOS machine so I need to find another way. Again, moving is a very stressful day. You guys are not helping!

5. He wanted cash, I didn't have cash so I offered to bank transfer the funds. At this point, I was on an important call so I put the call on loud speaker so I can open my mobile banking app. The guy grabbed my phone (while I was on a call with someone) and he said he will enter the bank account number. What kind of behaviour is that? You don't grab other people's phone man.

6. At this point, I just wanted them off the property so when the transfer is done. They left to go to another job because they have to go to another job.

I am paying by the hour and I booked your service a month in advance. It's not my fault you double booked our move with another. It's not our fault you didn't bring an eftpos machine. Again, moving day is stressful I hired you guys to make it easier for us, buy we ended up moving most of our stuff to your truck and we now have to move them to each individual room. You are advertising a $190/hour 2 man and a truck moving services, but it's really just a pick up and drop off services.

I should have hired a trailer instead and saved me some money.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $510

Had to give them my drinks cos they didn't even bring water. Red flag number 1. Broke the handle on my drawer. Had a lift on their truck, putting only one item at a time on it, weighing from 10kg to 60kg. Carrying light things 1 at a time (time wasting tactics) They kept asking is that everything. We were shocked, everything here, needs to be moved. The driver struggled with parking and reversing, like it was our fault he struggled to get out of the driveway. Took sooo long to drive to our new place. They could barely lift anything. My partner had to help and he had a broken finger, and still moved quicker than the so called professional movers. What a joke. I recommend not using this company.

Worst movers ever, NEVER use this business. They drank my partner's drinks because they didn't have they brains to bring their own, they were weak, slow and inexperienced. They wasted time on the phone and chatted. They were rude and didn't bring eftpos machine even though I arranged to pay by card. They broke furniture and dragged out the job. The reviews on their website don't match independent review sites. It took them 45 mins to make the journey which took me 10 mins. They had bad attitudes, I can't stress enough how useless they were.

I booked weeks in advance for my Christchurch house move. Paid the deposit and got an email confirmation of my booking.

After waiting over an hour after they were due, I eventually got hold of someone in Auckland, (no reply from the local number), and was told they would not be doing my move. When I explained I had no choice but to move on that day all I got was “sorry for the inconvenience”. They first told me they had mechanical problems then admitted they overbooked. I’ve repeatedly tried to speak to the Christchurch branch to vent my anger but no one ever answers the phone.

The most unprofessional and incompetent bunch I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Never again!

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $700

They will not fufill their promised services, lost two pieces from my couches within a 6-minute drive then said we don't know where it is and that there's nothing they can do. Missing items were noticed while they were still onsite, told they must be in a box.

Then they tell me i never asked them to pack i have email evidence and had at least four phone conversations to make sure they would as i am six months pregnant and needed the help with the kitchen ect. I was told you "will not need to lift a finger." I did have to i had to pack everything then they told me they would not take the stuff i packed so i then needed to lift the boxes into cars.

They left my belongings on the lawn of the new property while there was someone at the other end who told them to put it into the house , they said there was no one there and couldn't gain entry LIES!

Told me they needed to leave for another job before the move was complete and their belongings were still on the lawn.

Responses from the complaints team say the movers never said that , you never asked and maybe look again for the missing couch pieces.

Im going to small claims court with this, unprofessional and disrespectful of people paying for a service.

NEVER AGAIN, DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $900

Worst ever, paid $630 for a 11km local shift, 4 hours. The day of the move, they bullied me to send them an email saying I would pay extra in cash if they went over time. The shift took 2.5 hours + the $70 callout =$420.00. I want the $210 extra I paid you refunded into my account within 24 hours (legal advice) as that was the expectation you had of me. Not to mention you left with a half full truck and left me to do 4 trips back and forth in my car to get what you didn't, at an extra fuel cost of $120 out of my pocket.
